"Well.....I'm pretty sure we have company in the form of something that growls and can't be reasoned with...and I can only guess that if its the size if it's growl, we're in for some trouble...." Unable to see with the rain coming off his helmet in annoying ways, Bartly regretfully takes off his helmet and places it in his backpack.

Bartly turns abruptly and yells something. As you tilt your head to listen to what he's going on about, a 70 foot tall Oak tree off to your left explodes.
>Bartly: You tilt your helmet up for a moment to wipe the rain from your eyes, and find your self inexplicably watching a boulder hurtling through the air. You follow it with your eyes as it arcs silently above you, like a dream, before colliding with a tree next to the priest.
And then the silence breaks, and the world explodes into violence.
A thirty foot monster comes hurtling through the forest at breathtaking speed. You watch, stunned, as people scatter in all directions. Massive trees are torn free from the ground around you, and the sound of screaming brings you back into focus.
>Pistol & Minna: You both manage to take off running down the slick wet road as the Gorger crashes through the woods. You aren't sure where the others have gone.
>Karl: You take off sprinting into the woods as the monster explodes through the woods past you. You are fairly disoriented in the brush, and you can hear the Gorger not far behind you.
Action on Faye, who is far enough away that she thinks this is thunder.
(Pistol, Minna, Karl; Let me know when you are back so I can give y'all a chance to un-separate the group a little)
Because we need action music.

"Damn, that's an impressive beast...." Seeing his new found companions scatter in all directions, Bartly moves off toward north east, hoping for the best and that everyone would avoid this strange powerful creature.

After several minutes of running you clear a large fern before coming face to face with a 12 foot tall knight, resplendent in smooth grey armor glaring down at you. A strange green patina decorates his breastplate.

Additionaly, you hear more scurrying sounds on the far side of the door.
As your eyes begin adjusting slightly to the dark, you see a wall sconce with a mounted torch on the slick stone wall. It is unlit, but looks usable.

"The Lord works in unusual ways..." The priest mutters, watching the bandit run in fear, before he himself runs after his compatriots. Not because he is a coward, no, but because there is strength in numbers.

>Erik: You run after the first party member you see, which happens to be the ex-soldier. Following behind him, you hear distant screaming behind you as the Gorger catches someone and begins devouring them. The soldier disapeers just ahead of you into some dense foliage just as you notice a large stone pillar off to your right. You then notice you are standing on very old, moss covered flagstones.

You hear Father Erik running to catch up behind you, though you have no idea where anyone else is.
You appear to be standing in a ruined plaza, overgrown and decaying from a bygone age. Half a dozen buildings are scattered around you but all have decayed and are no more then waist high. Part of a decaying stone wall disapeers into the woods ahead.

Things around here sure are falling apart and decaying, thinks Bartly to himself. Wonder what the words are saying. Perhaps some of these buildings are still standing, or lead somewhere. Or can give shelter if that gigantor beast comes this way

Faye grabs and lights the torch. She then opens the door and enters the room ahead.(assuming there is a room and no obvious threat)

Hearing the voice of Bartly, Faye responds "Soldier, I am down here. It seems to be a wine cellar and there is also a alter with a sacrifice on it." She runs her hand along the shaft of the spear inspecting for any weak points in the wood before lifting it out of the skeleton. Then she inspects the alter closely.

I should have let him just ride away. Pistol shudders visibly as he watches Eriks mace soar high above him on outstretched arms. Yet within moments relief washes over him as thoroughly as the rain, his eyes intently watching the silhouette of the mace fall to his side. He is unable to hear the words, but he can see his lips mouthing words despite the thick rain. administering last rights or is this the last request of a fanatic zealot. Watching him turn his back on the archer, Pistol scans the distance for a sign of the horse... And was that thunder?

Brave the battling blade, flashes the furious fire, steel sword sheathed in sacred heart, crimsons the...something... something. Pistol legs burned but he dare not stop running, for they guided him farther into the forests depths. He hurt, the beat of his heart attempting to rip from his chest, the sound of heavy breathing not far behind him. Your not alone, don't go to far. Chancing a look over his shoulder to the less graceful form of lady Minna pushing aside branches in her pursuit, When did i find her? How long have I been running? Hopefully she knows where I'm going? What direction had the archer ran? Likely to the tallest vantage point he could see, and with little resolve and far to much hope, Pistol continued to cut a trail higher.
